Open Play = Open to play with others. Open play is designed to be social play. The spirit is to meet and play with different people. Please be respectful and encouraging of other players and have a great time!
Rotation Rules
- If there are 4 paddles or less in the paddle queue, then players rotate 2 on/2 off.
- If there are 5 paddles or more in the paddle queue, then players rotate 4 on/4 off.
- If rotating 2 on/2 off, winning players may remain together for 2 consecutive games.
- If there are no paddles in queue, players may remain on court for another game.
Paddle Queue Rules
- Please paddle up on courts that are aligned with your skill level. While there is flexibility to play up 0.5 ratings above your skill level, please be mindful of maintaining quality of play for others around you.
- Do not manipulate the paddle queue to gain specific match ups.
- Do not put your paddle in a queue simply because it is the shortest wait time if it is not aligned with your skill level.
- Players may only put one paddle in one queue at any given time.
Safety
- Please do not run into the fence, nets, and back wall. Aside from serious harm to yourself, you may cause permanent damage, particular to the net.
- If your ball rolls or bounces to an adjacent court, give them a warning so they stop play.
- Proper shoes are a must. Sneakers, running shoes, etc. are not appropriate for pickleball play and may result in serious injury.
